The kids are at home, public places are closed and you can’t go anywhere so, what can we do? Here are a few ideas to keep you sane. The coronavirus is due to last weeks (if not months) so it can be a bit of a madhouse at home (no pun intended).
It might not be perfect the first time, but just keep trying.ĭuring this trying time, we’re all told to stay at home.
You’ll know when the right time is for you. They were once deliberating whether or not they should put their work out, and whether it was the right time. No-one is born an expert in something – all experts (in any sphere) were beginners at some point. I’m not bothered by potential criticism I know not everyone will like what I do – that’s a fact of life.
Not talented enough, so I would keep it to myself. I don’t know about you but I have had an incredible sense of self-doubt. The fear of the unknown – it can overwhelm you. Whether that’s in person, or online via a website or on social media, you have no idea how your work will be received. It can be scary putting your stuff out there especially when you’re putting your work out there for the first time. You might think that’s weird because you inevitably show what you’re creating but with acting, you’re being someone else … and that’s a whole other blog post. And this is coming for someone who’s taken a year-long practical acting course. I’ve always loved creating but very reluctant to show anyone – whether that drawing, writing or even acting. I have a lot of notebooks filled with writing which I have never shown to a single soul. I have always been one of those people who love to create but very reluctant to let people see what I can do.
